Field and laboratory services
Chadwick T&T operates construction materials testing laboratories throughout Victoria, providing site and laboratory services to the construction and civil engineering industries.
We have three NATA accredited facilities, with the main (new) laboratory located in Keysborough, South East Melbourne. The other two laboratories are located in Nagambie and Warrnambool and enable us to provide extensive coverage throughout Victoria.
Our laboratories are equipped with a diverse range of construction materials testing services for contractors, consultants and government agencies (local shires, roading authorities etc).
Laboratory testing includes:
- California bearing ratio
- Shearstrength
- Particle size distribution
- Atterberg limits
- Permeability
- Standard compaction.
Our main Keysborough laboratory is set up to cater for more specialist geotechnical applications including Effective Stress Triaxial Testing and Permeability in the triaxial cell.
Site field services include Level 1 earthworks supervision, field density testing (13 x Nuclear gauges in service), dynamic core penetrometer testing and sheer strength determination. Additional services include field testing for quality control of soils and aggregates during construction of pavements, landfills, housing subdivisions and industrial developments
We also provide a dedicated testing service for the extraction/mining industries (quarry) including the establishment of training and understanding of local government requirements for the production of a consistent product and set-up and maintenance of a quality testing regime for the smaller quarry industry.
