Chadwick T&T operate civil engineering testing laboratories throughout Victoria and South Australia, providing site and laboratory services to the construction and civil engineering industries.
Laboratory Services
Nata Accreditation
In Victoria we have three NATA accredited facilities, with the main (new) laboratory located in Keysborough, South East of Melbourne. The other two laboratories are located in Geelong and Warrnambool and enable us to provide extensive coverage throughout Victoria.
Our laboratories are equipped to provide a wide range of civil engineering testing services to contractors, consultants and government agencies (local shires, roading authorities etc).
Laboratory testing includes:
- California Bearing Ratio
- Shear Strength
- Grading
- Atterberg Limits
- Permeability
- Standard Compaction
- Concrete Sampling and Strength Testing.
Geotechnical Testing
Our main Keysborough laboratory is set up to cater for more specialist geotechnical applications including Effective Stress Triaxial Testing and Constant Head Permeability in the triaxial cell.

Field Services
Project Laboratory
Chadwick T&T specialise in the establishment of project specific laboratories (NATA Accredited) and we have set up site testing facilities on numerous roading projects in Victoria including EastLink, Pakenham Bypass, Geelong Bypass and Deer Park Bypass.
On-site Testing
Site field services include Level 1 earthworks supervision, field density testing (16 x Nuclear gauges in service), dynamic core penetrometer testing and sheer strength determination.
Additional services include field testing for quality control of soils and aggregates during construction of pavements, landfills, housing subdivisions and industrial developments
Quarry Materials Testing
We also provide a quarry materials sampling and testing service to the extractive industry market (quarries, sand pits, mining). This service allows suppliers to offer NATA accredited test results with their products which is often a requirement on larger projects or when supplying to Vic Roads or Main Roads specifications.
