Alastair Catton has been the Chadwick T&T Laboratory Manager, since April 2007. Prior to that time he has worked in the UK, Solomon Islands and in Australia he has worked in NSW, SA and Victoria. He has extensive knowledge of earthwork, pavement, landfill and dam construction, to current Australian and Road Authority Standards, particularly Vic Roads.
Alastair’s experience includes “specialist testing”, which he has introduced to Chadwick T&T, and includes triaxial permeabilty, quick undrained (QU) and effective triaxial testing (CUPP). He has also knowledge of aggregate, concrete and asphalt testing.
Alastair is a current NATA signatory for all tests in the Laboratory as well as being a NATA assessor.
